Yes, have tried on more than one occasion to chat but was unable to enter text. Must just be me?

What browser are you using? Some have found better luck with IE than FireFox.

stephylou was able to access chat by using IE (Internet Explorer browser).

Another user had a problem with the ad covering chat, they had to hit F5 and stretch the window out to unblock it.

Problem with text area losing focus in Google Chrome was solved by switching from Chrome to IE. Tabbing 4 times can also return focus to text area for some.

Tried that, just get a message saying Closing Link: [ip address numbers] (CGI:IRC -- No access)

Had no problems previously. Darn that irc.

You might have to pick another name, if your original one hasn't timed out yet. You can also try closing and restarting your browser window.
